SHE'S YOUR MAMA

Experienced Pain, torture, fear, sacrifice, been to the brink of death for you-while bringing you to earth, worried too much-when your temperatures changed when you were little, had sleepless nights-when you cried your lungs out throughout the night, cried with you as she sang you songs to lull you, some even stopped pursuing their dreams so that yours could succeed, some tolerate abuse so that you could have a perfect family of dad and mom, the list goes on and on.

That’s a mother.

They have been to the depths of oceans for you, but they always have it all together, even when everything seems to fall apart.

Why?

 Because they can feel your pain when you cry, they worry a lot about you than you even worry about yourself. They don’t want you to be the element that they are, they try to formulate a mixture with better qualities than theirs. The devil hoots in hell and they don’t bow, whoever comes there way is just but a non-issue to them.

Intuition, one of the superpowers mothers have.

I can guarantee you that your mom senses when you’re in trouble even when you are miles away. I remember a friend of mine, while in third year, had gone for a road trip during one of the festivities and bad luck has it that they got involved in an accident on their return journey, whereby their car overturned. Safety belts and air bags saved them since they got no bruises, but what surprised this friend of mine is that as she was being dragged out of the car, very scared as she had seen death flash in front her face, her phone rang and on picking it was her mom. Yes, her mom called, and the surprising part is when she asked her if she was all right, my friend of course said she was but asked her mom why she sounded so concerned, the mother said she had gotten a sharp pain in her chest and her stomach turned, as though something bad had happened to her since that’s what crossed her mind and so that’s why she called!

Even though the umbilical cord is physically cut when your mom gives birth to you, the mother-child cord is never cut.

You are always a part of her, wherever you go. She thinks about your life more than she thinks about her own life. She gets a hunch when you are in trouble.

That’s why even when you haul insults at her, it hurts her a lot, but she still forgives you, because the thought of not forgiving you hurts her more. I remember a story of a little girl, one day her mom said something that she didn’t like. So she went silent on her. The next day she went and bought her some very cute shoes she had always wanted. She knew she was trying to make her talk, it hurt her so much. She thanked her, went to her room, cried and asked the Big guy up in heaven to forgive her and never make her hurt her mom again. Thereafter she treasured her more than her life.

 Moms are a treasure, a gift, and gold mine in our lives, while they are still with us, lets show them the love they show us. Instead of just posting stuff on Facebook, twitter and all social media platforms about how we love them, how about you just tell them on their faces. Even if she won’t say anything, deep down, you give her eternal joy. The happiness a mother always wants. She’s your mama. ADIOS!
